Thank YOU to ALL who have contributed, shared and given on many levels to the Cofán and project!
There is much work to be done with the Cofán project and this is just the beginning. Collected and extra funds will help continue the work to fully generate a sustainable income in the coming years. The are many areas that the extra contributions can also help. ONE: The rivers are contaminated by the oil industry in their territories. Potable water comes in yellow through broken pipes. Very few homes have water catchment systems with filters for drinking and cooking water. Most have barrels for rainwater collection. These donations can address this issue and be able to outfit each home with a water catchment system and filters. Would love to bring Solar cookers to these areas. Of course we can't solve everything, but just some ideas as to how we could.
I have received calls and emails from friends who missed the due date or had trouble with the system on Kickstarter, and who still would like to contribute to the Cofán.

Indigenous cultures, for centuries, continue to protect the forests and ancestral lands. We must support these millenary cultures that live in profound communion with Mother Earth.
