Company: Hudson Valley Seed Library

Bio: My partner Doug and I are farmers on cooperatively owned land two hours north of NYC. We are dedicated to creating a local source of open-pollinated seeds that are adapted to our region. We grow and hand-craft our seeds using fossil-free farming and processing techniques. We also share seed-saving skills with farmers and home gardeners. Our seed catalog, info about our innovative Seed Library program, and workshop info are on our website. Sow local!

What advice would you offer a non-green person?: Grow a garden!

Name a couple of your green actions.: We grow heirloom seeds using sustainable agriculture and Permaculture practices on our small farm in Upstate NY. Our packs feature artwork by NY artists and are printed on recycled paper with veggie inks.
