This belt is made of jute a strong, coarse fiber used for making things such as burlap, gunny, cordage, etc., obtained from two East Indian plants, Corchorus capsularis and C. olitorius, of the linden family.
Truth decided to make a really strong belt from it! The jute is lined with polyurethane and the buckle has an antique nickel finish. It comes in olive and brown.
Buttercup squash anyone?
Width = 35 mm / 1 3/8”

I had a deep chat with SDN Designer/Partner Marcus Hicks and he gave us some insight into his fashionsphere. I have to say that I feel like a true eco-gentleman when rockin' SDN.

Autumn is a wonderful season. The changing leaves lend themselves well to budding young photographers. The change in weather creates wonderful shopping excuses. Of course I need a new jacket or that cute sweater—it’s getting cold outside. However, the one pitfall of autumn is the falling leaves. Ugh, yard work. Unless you plan on paying for someone to clean up that mess of a yard, you are in for some backbreaking pain. Don’t worry—I have a way to make…

I love golf as much as the next middle-aged white male. I am being serious. I love golf. However, I also love the environment and while some may think that golf and the environment go hand in hand that is often not the case. Sure you are outside playing in the sand, the trees, and hopefully the grass. You are connecting with the environment. You may not be able to make a putt, but at least you are breathing in fresh air. I guess it is fresh,…

"It's the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine)," according to the lyrics of REM. Well, I feel sad. America seems to be freefalling before our eyes and nobody knows how to stop the bleeding. Therefore, the upcoming election becomes increasingly important. I am not a political expert—it's hard to be when all they spew is lies and deceit. However, I will do my best to muddle through the mess.
Due to the recent energy crisis, most…

Be good to yourself. Being good to yourself also means being good to the environment. When you think about it, you are the air you breathe and the water you drink. You are what you eat doesn’t only apply to the food substances we consume. I try to think of this everyday by weighing how I feel with what I’m consuming whether it be food I’m eating or products I’m purchasing, along with how I’m experiencing my surroundings. Everything goes hand in hand,…

Despite what some say, going green is not a middle-class luxury. It is not a privilege reserved for the rich. It involves human health and happiness, and is the right of everyone.
Since the industrial revolution, an unfortunate trend has persisted that has aligned monetary poverty with poor health. Historically speaking, it has not always been this way; and it does not have to be this way. Yet…
