Ahhh yeah, Brooklyn is always the place to be! Especially when I can find two of my favorite things under one roof, vintage vinyl and coffee.

I had a great time chatting with Sommer Foster-Santoro of
Black Gold which she co-owns with Jeff Ogiba.
Sommer's vibe is a cool as the one in this little haven nestled in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn NY.
Being a serious vinyl lover since the age of 3(I have a photo to prove it) I felt right at home surrounded in a sea of amazing album covers. I ended up walking out with an
Isaac Hayes album. I am thrilled to have them in hood!

Black Gold also serves
Rook Coffee organic and fairtrade coffees and vegan/organic treats from
SCRATCHbread. Their antiques are cool but the only the only thing that bothers me are the vintage stuffed animals, they seem to be looking at me as if I shot and stuffed them myself. I would like to see them replaced with a cool selection of vintage watches, eyeglass frames, bandanas, pocket knives or coffee/espresso cups etc... ya know what I am saying it would fit so nicely with their concept and then Black Gold would truly be golden.

While shopping you have to pick up a Black Gold canvas tote bag for $15.00, buy once and every time you come through bring your bag back and receive 10% off.
