As I always say "do not buy things you do not need and if you have to spend your cash look for eco-alternatives that will save money and the environment in the longterm". Well with that said I needed a new case for my iPhone and did a search for eco-friendly choices. Being green is just not good enough the case had to be fly and well designed. So a brotha was absolutely floored when my Vers iPhone case in bamboo arrived. Having a piece of modern technology wrapped in something sustainable made me feel a lil' better for even having an iPhone in the 1st place… The Vers cases are also available in cherry and walnut hardwoods.

For every tree Vers uses, they replant 100 through our partnership with The Arbor Day Foundation and the US Forrestry Service to re-forrest areas damaged by fire and other natural disasters.

Did you know Bamboo is actually a grass? ...and like your lawn, it can be harvested many times without harming the plant itself. Bamboo grows faster than any other species, sometimes 3’ per day, reaching a harvestable height in only 3 months, compared to 40 - 60 years for a typical hard-wood species. It can also produce 35% more oxygen per acre than a stand of trees.
Since mature Bamboo is harvested by hand, there is far less energy ‘invested’ (and less CO2 produced) in processing Bamboo than wood or just about any other production material. Harder and more dimensionally stable than Oak, with strength characteristics equal to steel, you couldn’t ask for a tougher, more environmentally thoughtful material.

Wood is tough stuff - it’s nature’s version of carbon fiber. Naturally rigid and impact-resistant, when reinforced with steel pins, it’s serious protection for your iPod/iPhone.
