I am definitely at the age where construction and quality are super important to me as I want pieces that will last for the next 40+ years…
Christopher Raeburn's REMADE IN ENGLAND
has created the perfect Fall/Winter Parkas for both men and women.
The Parkas pictured here are made from never worn military battle jackets found in storage in the U.K.
and Christopher says "They still had the packing labels on them from the 1950s
and finds this fascinating that there are warehouses full of this stuff."
He also uses Eurostar uniforms, old Belgian army tank suits or even retired air balloons in his creations.
In addition to salving Christopher uses organic dyes and insures that everything is fairly produced.
Here's another piece from AW10, the women's parachute parka, made from their signature reappropriated parachute fabric. Awaiting shipment to Barneys New York.
As the Remade in England tags state, all their deconstruction, design work and production is done in-house.
