Gardening is such a fun and rewarding activity to do. If you love plants then you will really enjoy the time you spend taking care of your plants. There are many plants that you can grow in your house and yard, and not only is it good for the environment if you grow your own food, but it also is beneficial because plants get rid of CO2 and other harmful greenhouse gases. That is one reason they are grown on the side of high ways, to keep pollution down, and of course, to create nice scenery.
It’s a good idea to grow a nice variety of plants, if you have the space. Trees are most helpful towards converting harmful pollution to oxygen, so it would be best to plant trees, and you will also get beautiful trees shade, and fruit, if you decide to plant fruit trees.

If you want a lot of trees and plants, perhaps as a border to block out nearby houses, or just to add beauty to your bare yard, you could plant evergreen trees, which are best at getting rid of pollution because they don’t lose their leaves in the winter like most trees do. Pollution is converted to nutrients through the photosynthesis process, which can only take place when trees have their leaves. In the winter most trees will rest because there isn’t enough light, but trees will needles, are able to survive in the winter. Some evergreen trees will also grow quickly, depending on the species.
Also, bamboo grows a foot a day and is a great “green” plant because it is used as a material and an alternative to using tree wood, which is ideal because of its fast growth. If you live in the right conditions for bamboo they are a wonderful plant to have.
