Insight Optical - Launches own Brand of Classic Eyewear...

For most of my eyewear needs I always start with Gil Purisch or Dr. Gil as he is warmly  referred to in our Brooklyn community and owner of Insight Optical.

Here I debut Insight Optical's own brand of classic eyewear.

Insight Optical's eyeglass frames are made from cotton acetate, an all natural product. Acetate is 100% biocompatible and antiallergenic.

This process is comparable to the working of fine woods. Expert craftsmanship turns panels of different thickness and structures into tiny works of art.

This is followed by the first polishing step:  the semifinished pieces are polished for days in wooden tumbling drums with bamboo grit added.  The workpieces are then shaped into the perfect technical and anatomic form through the application of heat and pressure.

A sealed-in metal core provides stability for the temple arms:  the hinges are embedded in direct-filling process.

The individual parts are precisely assembled.

The final polishing brings out the full depth and warm glow of this natural material.

Numerous inspections and the skills of experienced craftsman create a product which we are sure you can enjoy for many years...
