918 Spyder concept car demonstrates Porsche's commitment to hybrid technology boasting outlandish specifications. The two-seater uses a plug-in hybrid system comprised of two electric motors coupled to a 3.4-liter V-8 racing engine. As a parallel hybrid, the car can run on pure electricity, just gas, or a combination of the two.

Revealed this week at the Geneva Auto Show, Porsche claims that the 918 Spyder supposedly goes 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, gets 78 miles per gallon, and can go 16 miles on pure electric charge. The car weighs a relatively light 3,285 lbs (including batteries) thanks to carbon-reinforced plastic body panels and an aluminum and magnesium chassis. I pray that this monster gets passed the concept faze, Porsche says "eventually" that's not good enough for me!
