Not sure about any of you but I find this news not in slightest bit shocking. Just look at the on going BP oil faucet in the Gulf of Mexico, Minority Babies are not on top of the save us list…
Note, this does not mean that non-minorities are not affected we all just happen to be sharing the same planet.
Up to 232 Chemicals were Found in 10 Newborns all of minority descent. The
Environmental Working Group says "The sample is too small to project national trends, but the minority cord blood study they commissioned in conjunction with Rachel’s Network, has produced hard new evidence that American children are being exposed, beginning in the womb, to complex mixtures of dangerous substances that may have lifelong consequences."
Nine of 10 randomly selected samples of cord blood tested positive for BPA, an industrial petrochemical produced by the millions of tons annually to make polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins. BPA has been implicated in a lengthening list of serious chronic disorders, including cancer, cognitive and behavioral impairments, endocrine system disruption, reproductive and cardiovascular system abnormalities, diabetes, asthma and obesity.
