SPMA stands for Sao Paulo, Mon Amour. An ode to the city, the collection is made of ecological leather, the soles from Amazonian wild rubber and has been inspired by the electrical and improvised artistic creation of the Brazilian metropolis.
Ecological leather is tanned without chrome but with acacia extracts - a natural tannin. Wild rubber is collected on rubber trees that grow in the wild in the Amazonian forest. Using wild rubber is a way to increase the value of the forest and protect it.
The trainers are made in Brazil respecting worker’s dignity. Storage and deliveries are looked after by a social charity in Paris. Veja has created a supply chain that respects both human beings and the environment.
