"I love accessories with sentimental value: the bracelets made by Lao artisans from Vietnam War scrap metal and a classic scarf that boasts a quirky print. That's my mug in Snoozer Loser's scarves campaign. I depend on a highlighter to make my eyes pop and for nail polish, I trust Priti NYC." (Photo: Karen E. Evans, courtesy Market Publique)
Favorite Charity: Village Empowerment
"I believe the Chinese proverb that says if you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime, which is why I support Village Empowerment. The non-profit's local volunteers visit small villages in Malawi, Africa where they provide education, tools, and resources to help the community become self-supporting within two years."
Our motto is 'Style for Change,' and we introduce the most stylish eco-friendly fashion and beauty products at a discount and give a portion of each sale to charity. We enable women to help protect the planet by letting them vote with their wallets for socially and environmentally conscious companies.
Former and ongoing weekly tastemakers for LovingEco include actress and environmental activist Amy Smart, actress and animal activist Shannon Elizabeth, eco expert and entrepreneur Zem Joaquin, organic chef Akasha Richmond and many other wonderful women.
