After over a year of eco-friendly renovations to our pre-Civil War farmhouse, Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary is proud to present The Guesthouse, a bed and breakfast exclusively available to members of the sanctuary. The Guesthouse owned and operated by the sanctuary thanks to a wonderful and generous supporter. The profits earned by our new B&B go to directly to the care of our 200+ rescued farm animals and to our advocacy work on behalf of farmed animals everywhere.
The Guesthouse currently offers a hearty, serve-yourself vegan continental breakfast, the restored luxury of claw foot tubs with showers, free WiFi, live rooster “alarm clocks” next door with all of our other wonderful rescued farm animal friends just steps away! You won’t believe the view from the covered porch where you can kick back and watch the sunset on rocking chairs with spectacular views of the Catskill Mountains and happy animals roaming in the foreground. It’s quite a view.
Allergic to cats? This may not be the place for you!
The Guesthouse warmly welcomes well-behaved and companion animals on a case-by-case basis for an additional $15 per night. Companion animals must remain on leash and with their guardians on site at all times and cannot venture on to shelter grounds. All visiting dogs must also be cat-friendly as The Guesthouse is home to resident cats Errol and Leon. In the near future, we hope to have a fenced-in yard and offer a pet sitting service for our furry canine guests.
You can go here to our online booking system to check availability and make a reservation. Alternatively, you can contact us using the form at the bottom of this page for room availability and other questions, or just call 845-679-5955. And, if you volunteer at least 6 hours a day, then we’ll discount you 20%!
More photos soon but here are the two rooms that we are currently booking (note: we’re still furnishing!). The rooms are being named after beloved farm animal friends who are no longer with us but who have inspired us deeply.
If you require wheelchair access we can most likely accommodate you with advance notice, although we are not 100% ADA compliant. Please
